Bremerton Parks & Recreation Dept 680 Lebo Blvd Bremerton WA 98310 360-473-5305

Recreational facilities include nearly 20 parks, an aquatic center, a recreation center and a senior center. Glenn Jarstad Aquatic Center 50 Magnuson Way, 360-473-5376, is located in Eastpark, along with the Kitsap Family YMCA, Bremerton Skate Park, and the Bremerton Ice Arena, which offers free skating on Wednesdays. The pool features a 25 yard tank with six lanes and a bulkhead that divides a shallow water area, a 1 meter diving board and small tube slide and a basketball hoop in the shallow end The pool offers water aerobics, arthritis and therapeutic swims, swim lessons, and lap and recreational swimming. Sheridan Park Recreation Center, 680 Lebo Blvd, 360-473-5305, features over 33,000 square feet with a wood floor gymnasium, five meeting rooms, art studio, preschool classrooms, administrative offices, and grounds, and hosts a variety of recreational program, classes, and events, including Boy's and Men's Basketball Leagues, Tiny Tot Sports, Karate, Yoga, Babysitting Training (ages 11-14, through Campfire USA), Sparky Summer Day Camp, Preschool/PK Program (classes for ages 2-5, 360-473-5425), Annual Senior Craft Fair, Annual Halloween Party, Indoor Playground (open from Oct-May, admission by single visit or punch card), Action Camps, Fun for Kids/Parent's Night Out (K-5), Senior Singers, Birthday parties and Celebrations. The Bremerton Senior Center, 1140 Nipsic Ave, 360-473-5357, offers activities and programs for seniors and hosts classes/programs such as belly dancing and family wellness training & orienteering. Gold Mountain Golf Complex Olympic & Cascade Courses, 7263 W Belfair Valley Rd, 360-415-5432, offers golfing for all ages and abilities and hosts events such as the Annual USGA Amateur Public Links Championship and Flashlight Hike at Gold  Mountain. The course (disc golf) at NAD Park features over 20 acres of old growth forest, and is geared for both beginners and advanced players. Bremerton Bark Park, opened in November 2005 and located at Pendergast Park (1199 Union Ave), offers an off-leash are for dogs and their owners. Bremerton's parks collectively feature trails, walking paths, shoreline, boat launches, play structures, tennis, basketball & sand volleyball courts, sports fields (soccer, softball, football, baseball), horseshoe pits, picnic tables, park benches, shelters, BBQs, open grass/green areas, parking spaces, restrooms and drinking fountains. Arvon Park offers a tot playground, Lent Landing Park features a gazebo, Lions Park houses a large waterfront dock. Bataan Park houses a Bataan Monument to honor the soldiers involved in WWII Battle of Bataan and has a scenic view of the Olympic Mountains. Blueberry Park features Pea Patch Gardens, offering community garden plots from March till November, along with some year-round plots that are not roto-tilled. Matan Park also offers pea patch garden spots for Anderson Cove residents. Forest Ridge Park offers 27.3, mostly forested acres, and houses Boy Scout Hall. Kitsap Lake Park features 30 acres of wetlands and a fishing pier. 54 acre NAD Soroptomist Park houses a disc golf course. 50+-acre Pendergast Regional Park, which houses the indoor soccer facility Olympic Sports & Soccer Center, offers ball fields, lighted soccer/football fields, lighted concessions (seasonal), and an off-leash dog area. Harborside Fountain Park has recently opened. During the summer (July & August), the Fun at the Playgrounds program offers free drop-by recreation (such as arts & crafts, swimming, sports, games) for children ages 6 to 12 from 10:30-2:30 M-F (till 12: 30 on Wednesdays) at several parks on the east and west sides of town. The Tuesday Night Special Event concert series also offers free family entertainment and a number of park district staff members work with both programs.

Recreation facilities include several parks, which collectively feature Playgrounds, Picnic Areas/Shelters/Tables, Trails, Benches, and Restrooms. Poulsbo's Fish Park is a Nature Park that includes habitat restoration and viewing platforms. Nelson Park features BBQs; Liberty Bay Waterfront Park houses Kvelstad Pavilion, which is available for rental, features a Boardwalk leading to American Legion Park, and offers a view of Liberty Bay & Poulsbo Marina. Lions Park features Tennis Courts; Oyster Plant Park offers a Seating Area, Bird Watching, Viewing Pier, Plantings and Kayaking. Hattaland Park features Ponds and Wetlands. Mitchusson, Centennial and Wilderness Park are all undeveloped.

Recreational facilities in Port Orchard include several parks, which supplement the facilities of the South Kitsap School District, Kitsap County Parks, and the South Kitsap Parks and Recreation District. The parks collectively feature picnic areas, playgrounds, soccer & baseball fields (practice, informal games), basketball courts, tennis courts (some lighted), restrooms, parking (on- and off-street). Commons Park is located on the grounds of the public library. Van Zee Park, 300 Tremont S, is a popular sledding area in the winter. Givens Field, at the 1000 Block of Tacoma St, hosts Little League and Babe Ruth League games (fields are leased to the organizations). DeKalb Street Pedestrian Pier offers a floating wood dock for boat tie-up and a wood pier. Port Orchard Boat Ramp, 535 Bay St across from City Hall features a large parking lot designed for boats and trailers, a floating concrete dock and a concrete ramp.

Bainbridge Island Public Works Dept 280 Madison Ave Bainbridge Island WA 98110 206-842-2016

The Bainbridge Island Public Works Department oversees Waterfront Park, which hosts annual festivals, summer performances, special events, picnics and music performances and features a tennis court, sports court and children's play area. Waterfront Park has a covered area available to reserve for private parties.
