The San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of classes and activities for all ages, including sports, aquatics & swimming, golf, dance, and arts & crafts. Infants, Toddlers & Preschoolers are served with a variety of programs, including Tiny Tot classes, gym activities, and playgroups. The Latchkey program offers supervised after-school recreation for elementary school age children during the school year as well as full-day programs during the summer. Summer Day Camps are also available, children have the choice of general recreational, sports, or art oriented programs. The city's numerous parks house recreational centers and clubhouses, where many of the indoor recreational programs are held. Indoor facilities include gyms, swimming pools, auditoriums, kitchens, and computer labs. Outdoor facilities include children's playgrounds/play structures, baseball diamonds, basketball & tennis courts, soccer fields, tracks, and picnic areas. Herz Clubhouse offers a community garden. Hayes Valley Recreation Center houses two non-profit organizations: Operation Contact which jointly with the Recreation and Park Department provides recreational services and outreach expertise; and CREES (Conflict Resolution Education and Employment Services), which offers hard skills/vocational training for individuals between the ages of 16 and 31. The Harvey Milk Recreational Arts Building houses the Recreation and Park Department's arts programs (Drama, Dance, Music), and features a Photography Center, a dance studio, aerobics classes and the Midnight Music and Young Teen Musical Theater Programs. The City-Wide Senior Adult program offers a variety of activities, such as fitness, arts & crafts, music, games, and tai chi, at locations through San Francisco, including the Golden Gate Park Senior Center. This program also sponsors a number of special events & excursions/trips.
