Bethel Parks and Recreation Department programs include youth sports such as soccer, baseball, softball, BMX bike racing, basketball, youth lacrosse and in-line hockey. Other preschool/children/youth programs & classes include tap, tumbling, gymnastics, music & movement, games, babysitting, Kindergarten readiness, tae kwon do. Programs for all ages include ballet, arts & crafts, tennis, and summer activities. Programs & classes for adults include fitness, yoga, ballroom dancing, softball (leagues). The department facilities include 5 parks, which collectively feature ponds, picnic areas, playgrounds, tot lots, bocce court, volleyball courts, basketball court, athletic fields (all-purpose, soccer, softball, baseball), bike/walking trails, nature trails, pavilion, kitchen, and bathhouses. Facilities at the 3 elementary schools, middle school and high school include playgrounds with basketball courts, tennis courts, outdoor classrooms, all-purpose, softball & baseball fields, and at the high school, a track, lighted football field and lighted baseball field. Bethel Skate Park is located off the parking lot at Johnson Elementary School. Many of the town-owned facilities are available for organizations and groups, and some are by permit only.

The City of Bridgeport's Department of Recreation offers a number of recreation programs, such as youth sports, during the school year, as well as summer tennis and day camps. The department provides lifeguards at Seaside Beach, and Blackham Pool (425 Thorme St) is available for family swim nights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Brookfield Recreation Department operates a number of facilities in the town. The Municipal Center features Bocce, Softball, Fitness Trail, Hiking Trails (in Arthur Harris Linear Park), Little League Field, Soccer Fields, Picnic Tables, and Playground. The

Bandstand, in the Municipal Center area, features the summer "Concerts in the Park" series, and is available to Town residents for special events. Cadigan Park focuses on sports, with 14 acres offering baseball, football, softball & soccer fields, volleyball & tennis courts, as well as a covered pavilion featuring picnic tables and barbeque grills. Both the Municipal Center and Cadigan Park offer restrooms and parking. Grays Bridge Field is a Little League field used by the Brookfield Baseball Association. Domain Pond is available for fishing (by permit only) and offers picnic tables and parking. Gursky Open Space features 81 acres of hiking trails, and is a favorite spot for bird watchers. Whalen Pond offers ice skating during winter when "Skating" sign is posted, parking is available.

Old Bridge Sanctuary features hiking trails, parking is available. Town Beach is open during the summer (residents only, seasonal passes are available). Lillinonah Woods connects to Lake Lillinonah, and offers fishing (by permit), hiking trails, picnic tables and parking. Danbury Recreation Department provides a variety of activities and programs for all ages. Summer programs include playground programs at several public elementary schools, activities at these programs include arts & crafts, sports, games, special events and trips. Swimming lessons (Red Cross) are offered at Lake Candlewood Park. Youth sports programs include T-Ball, Girls Softball, Baseball, Flag Football, Lacrosse, Basketball, Soccer, Football & Cheerleading (Pop Warner). 12 parks, 1 athletic field and 3 playgrounds in Danbury provide for a variety of recreational activities, ranging from passive recreation to sports such as baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and football. Several parks have playground equipment. 2 of the parks, Lake Candlewood & Lake Kenosia, are seasonal, open from late May or mid June through Labor Day weekend. Candlewood Park features a boat ramp. Both parks have beach facilities, playgrounds and picnic areas. Old Quarry Nature Center is a 40 acre center featuring trails in a natural setting for wildlife observation, field house and nature education building. Richter Park offers an 18 hole golf course and pro shop, as well as hiking trails, a west lake reservoir for fishing, tennis courts, winter recreation, arts association center and the cafe on the green which offers fine dinning and patio seating with a grill area. Tarrywile Park is a 717 acre park featuring hiking trails, community center, castle, farm house, carriage house, dairy barns, gate house, Montessori School, and a greenhouse. Joseph Sauer Memorial Park is designed for senior citizens and offers benches, tables and a basketball court.

Darien Parks and Recreation Department operates several recreational facilities in Darien, including 2 beaches offering such amenities as concessions and picnic areas, and 203 acres of ballfields and parkland. 12 parks offer passive and active recreation for all residents.  Weed Beac, off Nearwater Lane/Rte. 1, includes a bathing area, picnic areas, 6 tennis courts (home to the Future Stars Tennis Lessons), 5 paddle tennis courts, children’s play areas, a bathhouse, a concession stand, and the Darien Junior Sailing Program. McGuane Park features a handicap accessible pathway, a playground, and is home to Darien Little League, with 3 ball fields. The Town Hall fields, in front of Town Hall, include a handicapped accessible soccer field used by the Darien Soccer Association and two handicapped accessible softball fields shared by the Co-ed Softball league and the Darien Little League. Tilley Pond Park covers over 8 acres of property in the center of Darien on the corner of Lakeside and West Avenues. 8-acre Tilley Pond Park focuses on passive recreation, supports a variety of wildlife, and serves as an outdoor skating facility during the winter months, including a stone hut with a fireplace, and also featuring a wide variety of trees and several wooded areas. Selleck’s Woods, a 28 acre nature preserve, has densely wooded areas, two ponds, marshes, swamps, streams, and several prairie pockets throughout the park. Pear Tree Point Beach offers a bathing area, handicap accessible picnic area with picnic tables and grills, a gazebo overlooking the sound, a bathhouse, concession stand, boat launch ramp, and two beaches.  The Darien Boat Club, located at this beach offers boat slips for rental.

Baker Park features playscape and play areas, including a new playground, a large grassy area for family picnics and teen entertainment, a multi-purpose softball/soccer field for Men’s and Co-ed softball leagues, and hiking trails around the outskirts of the park. Cherry Lawn Park features 4 tennis courts, a basketball court, community gardens, a playground area, a natural pond, gazebo, walking trails, a multi-use field (Casey Field), a softball field, several picnic areas, a public restroom, and the Darien Nature Center on its 27.5 acres. Stony Brook Park is an 11.3 acre natural park featuring a waterfall with park benches, and low-impact hiking trails. Woodland Park Nature Preserve includes two trail systems, two ponds, a stream, a footbridge, an archaic stonewall, and ornamental plantings. Frate Park is also available to area residents. Programs and classes include guitar, soccer classes & camps, horsemanship clinic & camps, golf, adult drop-in volleyball & basketball, tennis lessons & camps, piano, safe boating, paddle tennis, future stars basketball, baseball & cheerleading, boy's indoor soccer, Red Cross swimming, little scientists, overtime athletics, basics to building fungineering, and stroller strides.

The Fairfield Recreation Department offers a variety of programs, classes and special events for all ages, including sports, fitness, fishing, foreign language (French, Spanish) lessons, arts & crafts activities, golf, playground recreation, parent-tot programs, first aid classes, and computer classes. Teen-oriented programs include Teen Theatre and summer employment opportunities. Recreational facilities include Fairfield Tennis Center, numerous tennis courts, softball, baseball & Little League, rugby & soccer fields (at local parks and schools), football field (at the high school), 7 beaches, 2 marinas, numerous open space areas, 17 play lots and 18 parks.

Greenwich Recreation Department operates dozens of recreational facilities including beaches, pool, parks, playgrounds, civic/community centers, and athletic fields, and recreational facilities are located at the public schools as well. Greenwich Point offers jogging, walking, cycling, nature study, boating, fishing, sailboarding, sun bathing, swimming, and picnicking, and provides benches throughout the park. Byram Beach/Pool features the only public pool in town, and also offers the Great Captain Island. The department's programs include sports oriented leagues and/or instruction in baseball; softball; basketball; tennis; paddle tennis; volleyball; soccer; field hockey; gymnastics; indoor baseball; tennis; indoor soccer; golf; ice skating and swimming. A number of summer camps are offered for various ages and interests (Kamp Kairphree, Summer Fun I and II, Art & Music Camp, Skatepark Ramp Camp and Pee Wee Clinics, All Pro Sports Baseball Academy, Summer Soccer and Summer Sports Camp). Griffith Harris Memorial Golf Course in North Greenwich offers an 18-hole course and other amenities. Greenwich Senior Center provides social, nutritional & health services, as well as a computer room, pool table, cooking classes, arts & crafts activities, meeting areas/rooms, and restrooms.

Monroe's main recreation facility is William E. Wolfe Park, at 285 Cutlers Farm Rd, which features 8 tennis courts (4 lighted), 2 lit basketball courts, 7 ball fields, 4 soccer fields, outdoor 25 meter swimming pool, hiking trails, picnic areas for groups and families, 16 acre lake for swimming (700 ft. beach), fishing, and non-motorized boating, 3 playgrounds, 2 Bathhouses, concessions, vending, parking for over 500 vehicles, and 4.1 mile Rails-to-Trails hiking/biking trail passes through the park. Local elementary, middle and high schools have facilities for adult volleyball, youth basketball, baseball, tennis, swimming, pre-lifeguard (Guardstart), and fly tying lessons/camps/leagues. Group Picnic Reservations are available for Wolfe Park (Oak Grove is on the lake (or west) side of the park, the Concert and Pond View picnic areas are on the pool (or east) side of the park. Golf Center of Connecticut, Rte 110 in Shelton, offers golf lessons, and play.

The New Canaan Recreation Dept operates several recreational facilities, including Mead Park Tennis Courts, Waveny Park Paddle Tennis Courts, and the Senior Center. Many programs/classes are held inside or outside at Waveny Park. Programs are available year round. Spring classes and activities include youth soccer & tee baseball, golf instruction, soccer referees, and adult fitness and tennis classes. Summer recreation includes developmental baseball, youth tennis clinics, adult softball & water fitness, synchronized swimming, Camp Pee Wee & Tiny Tot Camp (South School), and activities/events at Waveny Park (cross country races, concerts, day camp, swimming lessons & team). Fall classes and activities include golf instruction, field hockey, soccer referees, and youth soccer. Winter programs include open gym (Sunday at New Canaan High), youth paddle tennis, and adult fitness/exercise, soccer (Saxe Middle School Gym), and computer classes (Lapham Community Center-Computer Learning Room). The department also sponsors classes & activities, including cooking, arts & crafts, sports, field trips, and special events, for children with special needs.

Newtown recreational facilities include Dickinson Memorial Park, open to Newtown residents only, featuring 5 tennis courts, a softball field, basketball court, two playground areas, FUNSCAPE creative play area, pavilion and picnicking  facilities with charcoal grills, Treadwell Memorial Park, offering 4 tennis courts, a ball wall, basketball court, two playground areas, pavilion, multi-purpose baseball/softball field, two regulation size soccer field, and swimming pool complex, and Lake Lillinonah Park, open to Newtown residents only, featuring a view of the lake, picnic tables, grills, a boat launch, portable bathroom facilities and parking. Orchard Hill Nature Center's historical assets include two mills and dams dating back to the early part of the 19th Century, and also featuring natural assets such as a diversity of habitats which provide home to a large number of species of plants and animals. The center also now has a parking area and several trails that have been cut in by Boy Scouts. Eichler's Cove Marina offers a marina, boat launch, picnic area, and small beach and is the only public access to Lake Zoar for Newtown residents. Recreation programs and classes for children/youth include aquatics, summer camps, t-ball, music, dance, Italian, Spanish, French, arts & crafts, martial arts, magic workshops, golf, football clinic, ice skating, computer, Lego Fun-gineering & Lego Robotics, science adventures, voice (singing) lessons, babysitting class. Teen/Adult programs include aikido, golf lessons, rowing workshop, women's self-defense, martial arts, kayak safety course, CPR (pediatric & adult), water scuba, water safety instructor (WSI) class, basketball, soccer, yoga, Italian, Spanish & French lessons, ballroom dancing, computer, and swimming.

The Norwalk Recreation Division provides and sponsors a variety of active and passive recreational programs, including social programs and activities for handicapped and senior citizens, dance and music programs (including the Norwalk Symphony, Youth Symphony, and Community Chorus), arts and crafts classes, individual and team athletic programs including sports camps, tournaments, instruction, and league play, fitness programs such as swimming lessons and exercise classes, and a Summer Youth Playground Program at various sites throughout Norwalk. The Park Maintenance Division maintains 1,215 acres of grounds and property throughout Norwalk, including the City parks, grounds and fields at City schools, libraries, and cemeteries, the City's boat launching ramps, comfort stations, and boat moorings at Veterans Park, as well as all facilities at Calf Pasture and Shady Beaches. The division also staffs the boat ramps and moorings, comforts stations and beaches.

The Ridgefield Recreation center serves as the main location for recreation programs and classes in Ridgefield. For young children,

Littleville Preschool is available with a variety of educational, recreational and sports/games-oriented classes for ages 1-6. Youth and Teen programs/classes/events include yoga, red cross babysitting, field hockey, dance – MacDonald-Pin Dancers, dance performance team, acting improvisation, karate, chess, and parties. Adult programs include dog obedience, tap dance, basketball, running club, and an "Out & About" club for adults 18 & over with special needs. Fitness classes (membership-based) are offered, such as cardiac combo and other aerobic classes. The wellness center has a variety of fitness equipment. Swimming classes and activities are held at the pool. Graham Dickinson S.P.I.R.I.T. Skate Park is open from March-November. The Rotary Club is developing a handicapped-accessible playground, to be located adjacent to the recreation center.

The Parks and Recreation Department provides and maintains a number of facilities in Shelton, including the pool and fitness room at the Community Center. A variety of programs, classes, activities and events are offered for all ages, including scuba diving, fitness/aerobics classes, children's dance, youth art, pottery, guitar lessons, yoga, swimming (lessons/laps/open swim), ballroom & Latin dance, basketball, tumbling, tae kwon do, floor hockey, kick boxing, golf lessons, and ski trips. Spring and summer programs include baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and tennis. A summer playground program also operates. Fall and winter classes include volleyball, men's basketball, flag football, girl's basketball, open gym, Pop Warner football/cheerleading and Biddy & Bob Cousy basketball. The intermediate school gyms host some of these activities, others are held at the Old SIS Center and Shelton School.

Stamford Recreation Department operates several large parks. Cove Island Park facilities include a beach with pavilion and concessions, marina, tennis courts, softball fields, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, ice skating rink, picnic areas, fishing, rest rooms and parking. Cummings Park & Cummings Park West/West Beach feature a beach with pavilions and snack bar, board walk and fishing pier, marina and ramp, tennis courts, handball and basketball courts, playground, 4 softball fields, rest rooms and parking.

Scalzi Park/Cubeta Stadium offers baseball, night lighting, Little League, softball, soccer, basketball, tennis, playground, bocce courts, fitness course, and roller hockey rinks. Six reserved picnic areas throughout the city are available for family outings and company picnics. Several natural and historic areas offer a variety of features, such as hiking/fitness/nature trails, boardwalk paths, wildflower meadows, wetlands, woodlands, and wildlife and native habitats. 2 public golf courses are located in Stamford. Several other local parks and recreation areas in Stamford collectively feature beaches, picnic areas, baseball fields, soccer fields, cricket field, tennis courts, basketball courts, bird sanctuaries, playgrounds, restrooms, and parking. Veteran's Memorial Park features a granite memorial tribute to those who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, memorial gardens, Exchange Club Freedom Shrine, and Stamford Lincoln Statue.

Trumbull Recreation Department operates 18 parks. School recreational facilities also contribute to recreational opportunities in the area. Municipal facilities include an 18-hole golf course, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, two outdoor pools and one indoor pool, one natural swimming area, and baseball and soccer fields. Indian Ledge Park is located in Trumbull as well. The 27-hole Tashua Knolls Golf Course is located in the northwest corner of Trumbull in the 268-acre Tashua Recreation Area, and includes 8 tennis courts, a full-size pool with diving area, a separate 'Kiddie Pool', 2 full-size basketball courts, a 'Tot Lot' playground, restrooms, picnic areas, a concession stand, and a club house facility with a Grille Room and Banquet Area for more dining and outing options.

Facilities at the parks, fields, and beaches include walking trails, picnic areas/tables/grills, benches, bleachers, gardens, playgrounds, bathhouses, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, lighting (for night games), skate park, and marina.

The Wilton Parks and Recreation Department offers programs for all ages from 1 1/2 years on up. The department maintains approximately 209 acres of developed recreation facilities. The Department also uses eight school sites for playgrounds and sports activities. The Town's Park System has 44 acres of developed land, which feature Comstock Community Center, basketball courts (some lighted), athletic fields, baseball and softball diamonds (some lighted), soccer fields, tennis courts (some lighted), track, swimming pond, picnic facilities, and playgrounds.
