North Las Vegas Recreation Services maintains 2 community golf courses and recreation centers, and programs special events, youth enrichment activities, sports, Safekey after school recreation (702-633-1608 for info), winter & spring break and summer day camps, aquatics, and senior services. The recreation centers (Neighborhood and Silver Mesa) are now open on Sundays, exclusively for family activities ("Family Zone".). Each of the centers also offers a fitness facility, open gym, preschool (Kiddie Kollege), fun zone activities for children, teen club for ages 13-17, and a variety of classes for all ages (may vary somewhat between centers) including dance, arts & crafts, sewing, martial arts, fitness/aerobics, tumbling/trampoline, gymnastics, swimming, sports, education (computer, conversational Spanish), parenting, and senior citizen classes (gym walking, fitness, arts & crafts), workshops, health/wellness services, trips and special events. Adult sports programs include soccer, softball and basketball. The Cheyenne Sports Complex hosts the softball program and the basketball leagues meet at Silver Mesa Recreation Center.
