Recreational facilities in Las Vegas include the year-round Municipal pool and 5 seasonal summer pools, several community centers (Cimarron Rose, Doolittle, East Las Vegas, Mirabelli, Rafael Rivera, Stupak, West), several senior centers (Derfelt, Doolittle, Lieburn, Northwest), 5 performing arts locations, and nearly 65 parks. Amenities at the parks collectively include playgrounds, picnic areas, jogging/walking paths/tracks, tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe, & bocce courts, football, baseball/softball & soccer fields, fitness courses, desert gardens, roller hockey rinks, ampitheaters, water play areas, horseshoe pits, skate parks, skate bowls, concession stands, open space areas, and restrooms. Durango Hills Park features an 18-hole executive golf course. Freedom Park is available for reservations. The Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center hosts a number of activities. Swimming lessons, swim teams, and open swim times are offered at each pool facility. Various programs are offered at local community schools as well. A number of recreational/educational programs, classes and workshops are offered for children & youth, including Preschool, After-school Recreation (Safekey), Summer Camps (General Recreational, Specialty, Tots), Spanish Lessons, Arts & Crafts, Music, Sports, Games, Dance, Martial Arts, Gymnastics, and Babysitting. Teen/Adult programs include Jazzercise, Low Impact Aerobics, CPR & First-aid, Fencing, Camping, Golf, and Sports Classes/Leagues (Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball). Scrapbooking is open to ages 8 & older. Senior citizens (age 50+) can participate in Bocce & Horseshoes Groups, Table Tennis, Paddle Tennis, Walking Club, Pickle Ball, and Bunco. Other programs for seniors include Free Blood Pressure Check, Free Health Is Wealth Lecture #12, Various Hiking Excursions, Free Senior Law Project Outreach Legal Counseling, Free Artists’ Reception for Then & Now, and various special events and trips. R.E.A.L. Sports offers sports, recreation, education and athletics for developmentally disabled adults (age 18+), S.P.A.R.K. offers a respite program for special needs children ages 3-7. Henderson Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of programs and classes for all ages. Recreational/enrichment programs provide before- and/or after-school activities for children/youth in grades K-8. ABC etc offers a state-licensed preschool, held at Valley View Recreation Center. Adult classes include Arts & Crafts, Fitness, Yoga, Dance, Tennis, Golf, and Scrapbooking. Swim classes are available for all ages, and meet at the Aquatics Center or Henderson Multi-generational Center. Recreational facilities include nearly 40 parks. Facilities at the parks collectively include recreation center buildings (Black Mountain, Whitney, Valley View), tennis, basketball & volleyball courts (some lighted), ball fields (some lighted), multi-purpose fields, playgrounds, open grass areas, picnic areas/barbecue equipment, hiking/walking trails, horseshoe pits, skateboard parks, dog parks, restrooms. Arroyo Grand Sports Complex features an ampitheater. Equestrian Park offers facilities for horses. Fox Ridge Park features an exercise course. Water play areas at Saguaro, Acacia, and Hayley Hendricks parks are available 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, May 1 through September 30.

North Las Vegas Recreation Services maintains 2 community golf courses and recreation centers, and programs special events, youth enrichment activities, sports, Safekey after school recreation (702-633-1608 for info), winter & spring break and summer day camps, aquatics, and senior services. The recreation centers (Neighborhood and Silver Mesa) are now open on Sundays, exclusively for family activities ("Family Zone".). Each of the centers also offers a fitness facility, open gym, preschool (Kiddie Kollege), fun zone activities for children, teen club for ages 13-17, and a variety of classes for all ages (may vary somewhat between centers) including dance, arts & crafts, sewing, martial arts, fitness/aerobics, tumbling/trampoline, gymnastics, swimming, sports, education (computer, conversational Spanish), parenting, and senior citizen classes (gym walking, fitness, arts & crafts), workshops, health/wellness services, trips and special events. Adult sports programs include soccer, softball and basketball. The Cheyenne Sports Complex hosts the softball program and the basketball leagues meet at Silver Mesa Recreation Center.

Boulder City Parks & Recreation Department offers year-round youth and adult sports, aquatic and recreation programs. Recreational facilities include a Recreation Center, Community Fitness Center, Art Center, Swimming Pool/Racquetball Complex, 2 Golf Courses (Boulder City, Boulder Creek), 10 Parks, Whalen/Bravo Ball Fields (Baseball, Softball, Soccer), High School/Garrett Middle School Tennis Courts (available after school hours), Reflections Center, and the River Mountain Hiking Trail. Facilities at the parks collectively include tennis, basketball & volleyball courts, ball fields, picnic areas, play areas, picnic areas/barbecue equipment, and swimming pool/racquetball courts. Central Park features a Multi-Use Building with a kitchen and dining area. Bicentennial Park offers a Gazebo Bandstand. Crowe Memorial Park hosts the annual Christmas Tree lighting. Xeriscape Park features a desert demonstration garden with native plants and trees. Veterans Memorial Park offers a fishing pond. ABC Park houses the Art Center, Weight Room/Fitness Center, and Youth Center. Recreational activities/classes for children & youth include a school-year and summer preschool (Tiny Tots, ages 3-4), Safekey after-school, Spring Break and Summer Parks recreation programs (K-5), and Youth Center (grades 6-12).The Swimming Pool/Racquetball Complex offers swimming lessons, water fitness & therapy classes, adult lap swim, open swim, family swim hour, swim teams, cross training programs, wallyball, and racquetball open play and leagues. Special Interest classes include Dance, Martial Arts, Conservation/Gardening, Dog Obedience, Fitness (Tennis, Gymnastics, Horseback Riding, Golf, Waterskiing, Cheerleading, Isometric Exercise), Safety (CPR/First Aid, Babysitting, Hunter Education), and Education (Conversational Spanish, Astronomy, ESL).

Mesquite Parks & Recreation Department operates and maintains the Recreation Center facility, which includes an indoor and an outdoor pool with water slide, racquetball courts, aerobics/dance room, climbing wall, outdoor basketball courts, meeting rooms, and youth and adult gathering areas with game equipment such as pool tables, foosball and ping pong tables. The recreation center is the site for children's classes (gymnastics, karate, taekwondo, dance, hip hop), adult classes (cardio kick boxing, body sculpt pilates, tap dance, yoga, weight watchers, 55 alive defensive driving), and drop-in programs (water & step aerobics). The Parks & Recreation Department also offers Sunshine Academy Preschool, which offers preschool classes for children ages 3-5 and a school-age care program for children ages 6-11. At the other end of the age spectrum, various programs, including fitness classes, are available for senior citizens at the Senior Center next door at 102 W Old Mill Rd. Sports programs for youth include floor hockey, flag football and basketball, adults can participate in softball tournaments & leagues.
