Recreational facilities in Rockwall include 14 parks, which collectively feature playgrounds, sports fields (baseball, softball, soccer), open space and play areas, trails, BBQ grills, pavilions, ponds, fishing, basketball courts, climbing boulders and picnic areas/stations. 10-acre Fox Chase Park, with improvements expected to be completed by late summer 2007, will also offer a sprayground, larger pond, and small fishing pier. 3.2 acre Jewel Park offers a sand volleyball court and fishing. 12.8 acre Shores Park features a concrete trail loop. 3/4 acre Windmill Ridge Park offers a volleyball court and 4 acre Henry M Chandler Park features a backstop. 1/2 acre Gloria Williams Park features a swimming pool, as does the city's largest park, 60 acre Harry Myers Park, which also features a Community Building, KidZone playground, walking trails, amphitheater, gazebo, 18-hole disc golf course and sprayground. Both pools offer regular swim times, special aquatic events, pool rental availability, swim team, lifeguard classes, Junior Lifeguard Program and Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. Other recreation programs/classes include preschool sports and youth classes such as arts/crafts, computer, golf, sewing, babysitting and holiday camps. Adults can participate in sports activities, sewing & art classes and golf instruction/play, along with bridge, fitness and martial arts.

Heath Parks & Rec. Town Center Park/Heath Community Center 200 Laurence Heath TX 75032 972-771-6228

Recreation facilities in Heath include 2 municipal parks, Terry Park and Town Center Park, and Heath Community Center. Terry Park, recently acquired, will feature a two-lane boat ramp with two courtesy docks, walking trails, landscaping, lighting features, a restroom facility and paved parking. Town Center Park includes soccer, football and baseball/softball fields, a walking trail, volleyball and horseshoe pits, a pavilion with picnic tables, a playground and restroom facilities. Heath Community Center, which includes kitchen facilities and rooms for meetings & events, is available for rental.
