Magnet School Programs: A computerized lottery system of selection is used for all Magnet Program(s)/schools except for Classical Schools, 7th/8th grade programs for Academically Talented students, International Baccalaureate Programs, and Regional Gifted Centers, which have specific academic criteria. Programs for 7th/8th grade programs for Academically Talented students, International Baccalaureate Programs, and Regional Gifted Centers provide full transportation, all others provide only restricted transportation (for residents living from 1.5 to 6 miles of the school). No transportation is provided for high school students. Applications are not required for admission to Advanced Placement, Education to Careers and/or Bilingual Education Programs. Application deadline: January 17, 2003 for elementary programs, December 20, 2002 for high school programs (the deadline dates change slightly from year to year).
