SOTH Preschool is an outreach ministry of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church and is associated with the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association. We offer morning programs for threes on Thursday and Friday and four year olds on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from September through May. Classes meet daily from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Our curriculum objectives follow Illinois State Standards for ECE. Our qualified staff is committed to promoting the spiritual, social, physical, intellectual, and moral development of every child. We believe engaged learners become "thinkers" and "problem solvers" as they develop new skills. Our programming encourages children to be inquisitive, to explore and be actively engaged in their learning experience. Students are instructed in small learning groups and spend time in each learning center under the guidance of three or four teachers. We encourage learning through the kinetic, auditory, and visual learning modes in all academic areas.

Shepherd of the Hill Christian Preschool in Lockport, Illinois is looking for qualified persons to be lead teachers or substitute teachers for the2008-2009 school year. Applicants need an Associates degree or a Bachelors degree in ECE or Special Education Early Childhood. Experience in teaching is a plus, but not necessary.
