At Pope John XXII WE CARE about academics-NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON AWARD for academic excellence; TERRA NOVA scores in top 10% nationally; Science Olympiad Team State of IL qualifier for the past 10 years-2011 winner of 4th place of regionals for Science Olympiad and Spirit Award Winner; every eighth grader in Algebra, Honors Algebra, or Honors Geometry; starting in Kindergarten all students have French and Spanish foreign language instruction twice a week. Starting in 6th grade, foreign language instruction increases with a choice of French, Spanish, or Latin.
