The CompTIA Educational Foundation offers free online information technology training and certification to individuals with disabilities through its Creating Futures program. The training and certification is to benefit individuals who are unable to afford training to gain the skills and certification to pursue a career in the information technology field.

 

The program include career prep, education, certification and skill validation to produce properly skilled, diverse workers for the latest, in-demand jobs and placement. Program participants have access to 24x7 online training, mentoring services, practice exams, and certification vouchers.

 

The Creating Futures program offers individuals the opportunity to train towards a number of certifications:

It is recommended that individuals have basic computer knowledge in the following areas:

· Computer hardware and software

· Using operating systems

· Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software functions

· Networks and the internet

· Electronic mail

· Using the internet
