Recreation facilities in Paulding County include Samuel U. Braly "Playground of Dreams" Sports Complex (which include the recreation offices), Mt. Tabor Park, 1380 Pine Valley Rd in Powder Springs, 770-222-3270; Taylor Farm Park, 1550 E Paulding Dr in Powder Springs, 770-505-3885, Earl Duncan Park, 724 Paulding Meadows Dr in Dallas and White Oak Park, 298 Mustang Dr in Dallas. The parks collectively feature Tot Lots, Playgrounds, Baseball Softball Fields, Soccer Fields, Lighted Tennis Courts, Soccer Fields, Gyms, Enclosed & Open Pavilions, Walking Trails, Lakes, Picnic Tables (some with grills) and Restrooms. Tara Drummond Memorial Park, Old Villa Rica Road in Dallas and Leggett Memorial Park, 531 Seaboard Ave in Hiram both offer a Trailhead to Silver Comet Trail, a paved, abandoned railroad bed that offers bicycling, nature, and horseback riding trails, with restrooms at select trailheads. Earl Duncan Park features a Stage and Seating Area. Taylor Farm Park houses a Pole Barn. Mt. Tabor Park houses a Community Building that includes a Racquetball Court and Aerobics Room. White Oak Park features a Sand Volleyball Court and a Trail Fitness System. Recreation programs include adult programs/events: Contemporary Dance, Flag Football, Softball, Tennis Camp, American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Training, Basic Auto Care & Maintenance Tips for the Mechanically Challenged, Belly Dancing, Fitness Assessment, Harvest Moon Dinner and Dance, Hatha Yoga, and for adults ages 50 & Up, Morning Shape Up, Pilates Matwork Fundamentals Workout and Total Fitness Workout. Youth Activities/Events include sports leagues/camps (Flag Football, CC Baton, Cheerleading, Dance and Tumbling, Girls Fast-Pitch Softball, Start Smart Baseball/Basketball, Punt, Pass, and Kick, Baseball, Basketball, West Metro Soccer, Football and Cheerleading, Tennis), Dance, Arts & Crafts (Kidz Art, Kidz Art Camp, Holiday Special Time Crafts, Make It, Take It, Craft Lab), Magic (Junior Magician Camp, Mini Magic Camp), Music, Creative Dramatics, Karate for Tots, Tots N Tuesdays, TumbleBees, Lil' Explorers, Little People Olympics, American Red Cross Babysitting Training, Mini-Mathematicians, Ms. B's Etiquette for Me, Wonderful World of Reading, Energy 2 Burn, Chess Club, Camps (Summer Day Camp, Princess Camp, DIVA Camp, Counselor in Training Program), Breakfast with Santa, Exploring the Mountain!: Mt Tabor Park Playgroup and a Flashlight Scavenger Hunt. Other programs/events include Santa Calls, 5K Run/1Mile Walk for Fun and Health, A Christmas Story, Concerts in the Park, Guitar Lessons, Halloween Trick or Treat Village, Junior Science Sleuth for a Day, Kung Su Do Karate Classes,  Music Theory and Basic Keyboard and Night under the Stars. Programs for senior adults, sponsored through the Senior Services Division, include a nutrition program, serving over 100 seniors enjoy meals each day, either on site or through the meals on wheels program, and events/activities/services such as arts and crafts classes, dancing, day trips to various sites and transit to the program site for all needing that service. Various parks facilities are available for rental.
