Gwinnett County Recreation maintains dozens of parks and other facilities throughout the county, which collectively feature playgrounds, athletic fields (baseball/softball, football, soccer), tennis, basketball & volleyball courts, aquatic centers with indoor and/or outdoor pools, gyms, recreation centers and senior centers. Bay Creek Park in Loganville (175 Ozora Rd, 770-338-0726) offers Gwinnett County's first handicapped-accessible ball field (with wheelchair and walker accessible dugouts) and playground for children with special needs ("Unity Place", with special rubberized surface and wheelchair-friendly sandboxes, slides and swings), and the youth association's Special Populations Program children and young adults provides inclusion opportunities in sports such as baseball, softball, cheerleading and basketball. SeniorNet Computer Learning Center in Bethesda Park, 225 Bethesda Church Rd in Lawrenceville (770-564-4699), offers computer classes; various other recreational programs and facilities are offered at the Gwinnett Senior Center located there as well. Lenora Park, 4515 Lenora Church Rd in Snellville (770-978-5271) houses an 18-hole Disc Golf Course. 25-acre Ronald Reagan Park, 2777 Five Forks Trickum Rd in Lawrenceville (770-822-8840) features the county's first dog park, a two-acre fenced-in area allowing dogs off-leash play, along with the county's first Passive Community Park, a neighborhood park which offers a lawn court area with horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, bocce ball courts and a pavilion with permanent chess and checkerboards, as well as a small skate area, playground, half basketball courts, paved multi-purpose trail, picnic areas and a small pond. Recreational activities include private, semi-private, and group swim lessons, recreational swimming, adult sports teams (basketball, kickball, roller hockey, softball, volleyball), youth sports leagues (through youth sports associations-baseball, softball, soccer, football, basketball, cheerleading, roller hockey, hockey, and lacrosse) and summer day camps (Best Friend and Lucky Shoals Parks in Norcross, Bogan and Pierce Parks in Buford, Dacula Park in Dacula, Lawrenceville Female Seminary, Pinckneyville Park Community Center and Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville, McDaniel Farm and Shorty Howell Parks in Duluth and Mountain Parks Aquatic Center in Stone Mountain).
