Fulton County Parks and Recreation has facilities in Atlanta, College Park, Fairburn, Palmetto and Alpharetta (this facility is currently closed for environmental cleanup). Atlanta houses Sandtown Park & Gym, Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds and Trammell Crow Park. Sandtown Park & Gym, 5320 Campbellton Rd SW, 404-346-8360, features a Lighted Combination Football/Youth Baseball Field, Lighted Youth Baseball and T-ball Fields, a Concession Stand, a Walking and Nature Trail, a Girl's Softball Field, a Soccer Field, Picnic Shelters, Restroom Buildings, Playgrounds and a Gym. Indoor facilities, which are available for reservation (404-762-4058) include a community room with adjacent kitchen, game room and full indoor basketball court, with adjoining locker rooms. Activities offered at the center, in conjunction with community groups include an After School Program (404-438-2802 or 404-406-2036) by Kids with Strong Opinions (KWSO), Youth basketball, cheerleading (basketball and competition), and track and field by the Sandtown Recreational Sports Association (404-438-2802 or 404-406-2036), baseball (404-408-7464), football (678-640-9574) and girls softball by the Sandtown Youth Sports Association (404-346-3005) . Trammell Crow Park 4980 Cascade Rd, 770-306-3010, features Tennis Courts, a Multi-purpose Activities Field, Picnic Shelters, a Playground, Nature Trails and a Lake. Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds, 3070 Merk Rd SW, 404-346-8382, features a Clubhouse, Pro Shops, Skeet Fields, Trap Fields, Sporting Clays (24 Station), and a 5 Stand Course (Modified Sporting Clays). The facility is located in South Fulton and serves unincorporated Fulton County. College Park is home to Burdett Gym, Park and Tennis Center, Cliftondale Park, Creel Park, Delano Park, Mason Park, Old National Park, South Fulton Tennis Center and Welcome All Park & Multipurpose Facility. The parks collectively feature picnic areas, playgrounds, lighted tennis courts, lighted and unlighted ball fields (baseball, softball, little league, soccer, football, multipurpose), lighted and unlighted outdoor basketball courts, picnic shelters, indoor and outdoor restrooms. Old National Park also houses a concession building. Cliftondale Park houses an activities building, community building and exercise/fitness room. The activities building houses a variety of activities with community sponsors. The Southern Bridges Association sponsors an after school program and summer camp run by APEC Learning Center (770-306-3170 or 404-758-6081). Cheerleading, youth basketball, girl's softball, co-ed baseball, youth soccer and track and field are all offered through individual sponsors. Senior citizen's activities such as exercise classes, luncheons and trips are also available (770-306-3061). Creel Park, opened in 2001, houses a community center and features a walking trail, covered pavilions and grills. The community center features a multipurpose room/kitchen (seating for about 80 people) which can be divided and reserved for parties, meetings, and other functions. "Friends of Creel Park" has partnered with Creel Park staff to offer an after school program, summer day camp, athletic teams and a program for senior citizens. Health Alliance Services (404-484-8933) is involved with the after school program and summer day camp, which is run by Camp Village, Inc. (404-349-0122). Welcome All Park & Multipurpose Facility features a fitness center (cardiovascular room and weight room), art room, large multipurpose room/kitchen, gym with adjacent locker rooms, game room, indoor swimming pools (lap pool and splash pool with sliding board), concession stands, lighted outdoor basketball court, picnic shelters with grills, and pedestal grills throughout the park. Activities at the park, offered through individual or organizations such as Health Alliance Services and the Welcome All Park Athletic Association, include an after school program (678-349-8029), youth basketball (404-520-1838), baseball and football (678-683-3099), summer camp (404-484-8933). Park staff members run Club 55, a senior citizens club emphasizing a healthy lifestyle (404-762-4058), and offer personal training. Admission to the fitness center is free for individual over age 55 (with ID), and youth under age 16 have free admission to the gym. Swimming lessons are available for preschoolers, youth ages 6-12 and adults 12 & up. Water Aerobics, Water Safety Instructor Class, and Lifeguard Training Class are also available. South Fulton Tennis Center features a clubhouse building, and lighted hard surface and clay surface tennis courts. Burdett Gym features athletic fields, a gym, an activities building, a picnic shelter, a playground. The activities building houses a large multipurpose room/kitchen, dance area, classroom area, game room and full indoor basketball court, with adjoining locker rooms. Old National Athletic Association sponsors youth baseball, football, and cheerleading at Burdett Gym; community sponsors also offer an after school program, youth basketball, summer day camp, and senior citizen's activities. Burdett Tennis Center features lighted tennis courts and an office/clubhouse and offers tennis lessons for all ages, tennis camps, spring and summer camps, and men’s and women’s ALTA teams. Recreational facilities in Palmetto include Wilkerson Mill-Farris Park, Cochran Mill Nature Preserve, Cochran Mill Park, Farbest Community Building and Rico Recreation Center. The facilities collectively feature picnic shelters & tables, playgrounds and restrooms. Wilkerson Mill-Farris Park also features an Announcer's Booth/Office/Concession Stand/Restrooms Building, concession stands, football field, lighted adult softball fields, lighted youth baseball fields and a soccer field. Cochran Mill Park offers hiking, jogging and horse trails, primitive camping and wildlife habitat. Cochran Mill Nature Preserve also features a nature center, hiking trails, ropes course and wildlife habitat. Farbest Community Building is a single room community building with a kitchen and restrooms. Rico Recreation Center houses a park center building, outdoor features include an athletic field, sand volleyball court, walking trail and grills. Fairburn is home to Cedargrove Community Building, a single room community building with a kitchen and restrooms, and Cedargrove Park, which features a softball/baseball field and picnic shelters. Providence Park in Alpharetta (currently closed for environmental cleanup) features a park center building, pavilion, hiking trails, outdoor amphitheater, grills, picnic tables, overnight camp sites, lake creeks/wetlands, rappelling and rock climbing areas, rock climbing cliff, climbing walls and a high ropes challenge course.

Grimes Bridge Park, 830 Grimes Bridge Rd, offers an adult recreation center (770-641-3950) and skate park (770-641-3996). Leita Thompson Memorial Park, 1200 Woodstock Rd, features a dog park area. The department offers Premiere A.B.C. (Adventures in being Creative), a preschool for ages 3-4, with sessions from 9 AM-1 PM, TTH for age 3, MWF for ages 3-4. Middle school age students can participate in the "Learn to Row" program, which introducing the Olympic sport of rowing. Other recreational programs include aquatics (exercise, swim lessons, recreational & lap swim, swim team), tot/preschool sports (Tiny Tykes, SporTykes, basic skills for soccer, T-ball, basketball), youth sports (baseball, basketball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, track & field, volleyball, football/cheerleading, tennis), adult sports (soccer, softball, flag football, basketball, tennis), youth general interest (cooking, babysitting class, mad science, computers, etiquette/manners, dance, fencing, gymnastics, creative dramatics, acting, chorus, musical theater), arts/crafts (abrakadoodle art, adventures in art, craft workshops, make/take sessions, drawing, sculpture, painting, sewing, photography), adult general interest (American Sign Language, Spanish, arts/crafts, cooking, dance, comedy improvisation/acting), health/wellness (fitness room, personal trainer sessions, aerobics, yoga, pilates, karate, body sculpting, racquetball/handball, walking club, runner's club, kickboxing, boot camp), special events/programs (Take me Fishing, Safety Town). The adult recreation center hosts programs for senior citizens, including arts/crafts, interior design classes, sports (bocce ball league, basketball league), fitness (personal training, fitness room, exercise classes, chair aerobics, Tai Chi, yoga, Pilates, dance, Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program-PACE, nutrition counseling, Living Well with Diabetes class, health check screening), computer classes, bridge, Roswell Ramblers Club, Red Hat Society. Programs for special populations (Young Adult Club, Young Adult art, tennis, chair aerobics, TR Field Day) also meet at the adult recreation center (and Grimes Park soccer field for TR Field Day).

Recreational facilities in Alpharetta include Crabapple Government Center, Senior Activity Center, Windward Soccer Facility, Big Creek Greenway, Alpharetta Community Center, Cogburn Road Park, North Park, Union Hill Park, Webb Bridge and Willis Parks. The facilities collectively feature youth baseball & soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, children's playgrounds, gyms, meeting rooms, arts & crafts rooms and walking trails/paths. North Park houses football and softball fields, an adapted sports complex and an adult activity center featuring a multi-purpose room, computer room, game room and library. Willis Park offers a disc golf course, swimming/wading pools, equestrian center with horse stables, covered arena, and show rings, and a dog park (Waggy World Paw Park). Alpharetta Community Center features a Gymnastics & Dance facility. Union Hill Park houses hockey rinks. Alpharetta City Pool, open seasonally, offers a 50 meter pool, locker room, showers and concession stand. Recreational activities/programs include arts & crafts, fitness, aquatics, tennis, gymnastics, youth dance and sports skills.

Recreational facilities in East Point include 2 recreation centers, an 18-acre sports facility suitable for baseball, soccer and football, and a Velodrome (professionally designed bicycle race track). Various health & fitness activities are offered year round at the recreation centers, as well as senior programs and special events and festivals. Children and youth can participate in summer day camp programs and cheerleading clinics.

Recreational facilities in Fairburn include Duncan Park, on Rivertown Road west of downtown, which is open year round and features tennis & basketball courts and a pavilion (available for use for a nominal rental fee) and Cora M. Robinson Park, on Dodd Street, which offers playground equipment and a gazebo for neighborhood residents. DeKalb County owned and/or operated facilities include Cedargrove Community Building, a single room community building with a kitchen and restrooms, and Cedargrove Park, which features a softball/baseball field and picnic shelters.

Smith Recreation Center is the location for various recreation programs, including sports and general recreation such as fitness classes, belly dancing, youth baseball/adult softball, youth soccer, summer camp and skateboarding. Hapeville Senior Center, located at 527 King Arnold St, 404-762-3660, hosts activities for senior citizens. Recreation staff includes an athletic coordinator, program coordinator and Seniors Program coordinator.

Most of the facilities are DeKalb County owned and/or operated. The facilities collectively feature picnic shelters & tables, playgrounds and restrooms. Wilkerson Mill-Farris Park also features an Announcer's Booth/Office/Concession Stand/Restrooms Building, concession stands, football field, lighted adult softball fields, lighted youth baseball fields and a soccer field. Cochran Mill Park offers hiking, jogging and horse trails, primitive camping and wildlife habitat. Cochran Mill Nature Center, located on 50 privately owned wooded acres, also features hiking trails, ropes course, wildlife habitat and a nature center that offers environmental education programs and sponsors special event. Farbest Community Building is a single room community building with a kitchen and restrooms. Rico Recreation Center houses a park center building; outdoor features include an athletic field, sand volleyball court, walking trail and grills.

The Etris Community Center houses Leisure Services and hosts senior activities & functions. The facility may be rented in the evenings/on weekends for social and/or community-oriented non-profit activities (for-profit/commercial functions must be pre-approved by the city).
