Recreation facilities in Fayette County include 6 parks (Brooks, Kelly, Kenwood, Kiwanis, Lake Horton and McCurry), which collectively feature picnic facilities, outdoor basketball courts, playgrounds and baseball fields. Kenwood Park offers a track/stadium, tennis courts, wooded area, grassy area and paved walking path; Kiwanis Park houses a recreation building and offers parking.

40 acre Lake Horton Park is 40 acres offers paved walking trails, boat ramps, picnic areas, fishing, restrooms and drinking fountains. McCurry Park Complex houses facilities for soccer, softball and football. Adult Athletics/Leagues offer softball, volleyball and flag football teams.

Recreation facilities in Peachtree City include over 40 parks, fields and recreation centers, which collectively feature multi-use forested trails, creeks, streams, ponds, lakes, playgrounds, picnic areas and athletic fields. Recreation programs include a variety of classes, including sports and aquatics, and special events such as the Great Georgia Air Show, Shakerag Arts & Crafts Festival, and the annual Independence Day activities. The 86 acre Baseball Soccer Complex, Hwy 74 South of Cooper Circle, is open for scheduled games and features soccer fields, lighted baseball fields, Field of Hope, concession stands and restrooms. Riley Field Complex, 202 Kedron Dr 770-631-2525, houses Kedron Fieldhouse (gym), which includes basketball and volleyball courts, and the Aquatic Center, which includes a 25 yard competitive swimming pool and a heated instructional pool with guards on duty at all times. This fully staffed multipurpose facility also features a multipurpose/inline hockey rink, classroom spaces, game room, showers, restrooms, changing areas, and storage areas. 3 Community Parks serve Peachtree, including McIntosh Trail, Glenloch and Braelinn Recreation Complexes. 50 acre McIntosh Trail, across from Huddleston Elementary School, houses the Recreation Offices, a skateboard ramp, a large picnic pavilion, William Davis BMX Track, Shakerag Knoll Picnic Area, The Gathering Place (Senior Center), Flat Creek Nature Center (entrance), Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, Peachtree City Dog Park, and walking trails McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex also hosts many of the City's special events throughout the year. Glenloch Recreation Complex houses Glenloch Recreation Center at Stevens Entry, which features seasonal pools (summer), soccer fields and practice area, multipurpose field, outdoor basketball court (daytime use), lighted tennis courts, dance/exercise studio and multipurpose classrooms. Braelinn Recreation Complex on Log House Road features unlighted baseball fields, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, outdoor exercise stations and restrooms. Peachtree City offers 3 golf courses (Flat Creek, Braelinn and Planterra Ridge) and a number of youth sports programs (baseball, soccer, swimming, cheerleading and inline hockey). Sports events include the annual Peachtree City Classic 5K and 15K races that wind through the trails system and the City’s annual triathlons for both youth and adults.

Tyrone Recreation Center hosts Senior Citizen activities (Lunch & Learn program, Shamrock Stitchers, Game Days); youth programs (Summer Camps-Art, Dug Out Club Baseball, Tyrone Soccer, Teenage Dance, Drama, British Soccer) and Adult Classes/Events (Country & Western Line Dancing, Donna Dewberry's One Stroke Painting, Friday Night Dance Parties, Tai Chi, Self Defense Class). Kuk Sool-Martial Arts classes are open to all ages. Other recreation facilities include Shamrock Park, 947 Senoia Rd, which features

a lawn that is available for rental for outdoor parties, picnic areas and a lake, and hosts special events such as St. Patrick's Day, Easter Egg Hunt, Earth Day, Bike Rodeos, Fishing tournaments, and Founder's Day Car show. Sports programs in Tyrone include baseball, sponsored by Tyrone Youth Baseball Association, softball, sponsored by Tyrone Softball Association and soccer, sponsored by Tyrone Soccer League. Games are played on the athletic fields at Handley and Redwine Parks.
