Fayette County Public Schools operates 28 schools covering grades PK-12, which serve 22,242 students in the communities of Brooks, Fayetteville, Peachtree City and Tyrone, and any unincorporated areas. 17 schools are elementary level (PK-2, PK-5 3-5), 5 are middle schools (6-8) and 6 are high schools (9-11, 9-12). Inner Harbour School and Bill ARP Elementary School each encompass grades K-12. Student/teacher ratio is 14:1 (district-wide). The district employs 1,583 classroom teachers, 151 support personnel, and 113 administrators. 39% of teachers have a Bachelors Degree only, 47% have a Masters Degree. Per Pupil cost is $8,318. A variety of programs, services, and personnel are provided for Limited English Speaking (LEP), Gifted & Talented and Special Needs students. 1.6% of students are enrolled in the English to Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) program, 9.9% receive Special Education services, 16% are enrolled in Gifted Education programs. Support services for all students, as needed, include speech/language, tutoring and counseling. The district offers an after school care program for elementary and middle school students.
