Recreation facilities in Carroll County include an 80 acre athletic complex in Carrollton with a new 32,000 sq. ft. gym, Little League baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields, a football field, a BMX track, and walking trails. Sports programs that use the complex include youth baseball (ages 7-14), basketball (ages 4-14), blastball (age 4), cheerleading (ages 5-12), flag football (ages 4-6), tackle football (ages 7-12), softball (ages 7-14), soccer (ages 6-10), T-ball (ages 5-6) and track (all ages). In addition, 527-acre McIntosh Reserve Park, located on the Chattahoochee River, features campgrounds, hiking trails, horseback-riding trails, and pavilions. Three other currently undeveloped properties (the former Oak Mountain Academy, Blackjack Mountain and a parcel at Little Tallapoosa off of Hwy 113) are due for use/development as passive parks, guided by a master plan in its final stages which will also address improvements to McIntosh Reserve Park.

Recreational facilities include Copeland Hall, completed in spring 2003, a combination facility housing a 500-seat auditorium and a basketball gym, each with separate restroom facilities and sharing a commons area including lobby, box office and concession areas. Copeland Hall is adjacent to the Bowdon Senior Center, Recreation Complex and Industrial Park. Recreation programs in Bowdon include youth basketball for ages 5-14, T-Ball for ages 5-6, baseball for boys ages 7-14, fast pitch softball for girls ages 7-14 and track for ages 7-12. Bowdon Senior Center hosts weekly programs on Thursdays for seniors, including bingo, lunch ($3.25) and free blood pressure screenings (last Thursday of the month). Line dance lessons are also held there on Tuesday afternoons (beginners) and Thursday afternoons (intermediate level). Bowdon Copeland Hall Gym hosts Tai Chi lessons on Tuesday and Friday mornings, followed by a Tutorial Class.
